SPORT NEWS - The Steytlerville Barbarians defended their home ground and emerged victorious when they defeated Graaff-Reinet's Hampshires on Saturday 15 April.
The match against the Hampshires was the Barbarians' first in the Karoo sub-union's regional league fixtures for 2023.
With the A team's 13 - 7 win and the B team's 5 - 0 victory, both teams are off to a good start in the first round of the southern region's fixtures.
The Barbarians will be playing against their hometown rivals, Steytlerville United, this coming Saturday. "We are ready for the challenge," says forward couch Stephen Kota. "May the best team win."
Both A and B teams of the Steytlerville Barbarians emerged victorious against the Graaff-Reinet Hampshires on Saturday.
The Barbarian netball ladies sold refreshments to raise funds to cover their transport costs for the upcoming league games.
