GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — The Graaff-Reinet Badminton Club has been invited to compete in a large competition being held in Oudtshoorn over the weekend of June 9 and 10.

Teams from Port Elizabeth, Worcester, Mossel Bay, Graaff-Reinet and Oudtshoorn will take to the courts over the two day period. Singles, doubles and mixed doubles matches will be played to determine winners in all these events.

This is the first time in nearly two years that the club will be participating in a serious competition and they will be up against the very best.

Six of the club's best players, three ladies and three men, have been selected to represent the town in Oudtshoorn and they would like to take this opportunity to thank those businesses in Graaff-Reinet that have thrown their weight behind the team and sponsored generously towards the costs of the tour.

Graaff-Reinet Hardware, College Motors, Dippies Motors, Quest, AF van der Berg, JP Coetzer, Wolf and Johnston and Kambro Cottages have made it possible for the team to participate in Oudtshoorn.
