SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - The annual Jakkalsvlei MTB and Jackal trail-running events will take place for the third time on the Jakkalsvlei wine farm on Saturday, 29 October.  

Both events are organised by TriSport which specialises in event management, sports travel, coaching and sports tourism. 

This year MTB riders can again look forward to a 27km route that explores the hills surrounding Herbertsdale and the vineyards of Jakkalsvlei, or if you're not keen on straddling the seat, why not sign up for the Jackal Trail Run?  

The 11km course will present the best that the Garden Route has to offer and for those who want to take things a bit easier there is also a 6km option. 

Pre-entries for both events close on Friday, 21 October, but late entries are possible on the day at an extra cost of R20 per person. 

Late entries and registration are between 06:00 and 07:15 for the MTB event and 06:30 and 07:45 for the trail-running events.  

The MTB event will start at 07:30 and the trail runners will start at 07:45. The prizegiving is expected to commence at 12:00.  

The entry fee for the 27km MTB event is R120, the 6km trail run fee is R80, and entry for the 11km will cost you R150.
