GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — Last weekend, February 18 and 19, the Graaff-Reinet Bowling Club held a bowling competition at the club.
The Drawn Pairs for Men and Women, became the Drawn Mixed Pairs competition, due to insufficient entries. Needless to say, Niel Colyn featured once more in a final.
Although the competition was almost scuppered by rainy weather, the final took place on Sunday morning, with Colyn and Christine Scott competing against Chris Slabbert and Daphleen Eksteen for gold. The Colyn /Scott combination proved too strong for their opponents and won the final 25 - 15.
The winning duo remained unbeaten in four games, however, they did concede a full-house 8 to the Eddie Brett-Rite amd Shawn West on Sunday morning.
