4x4 DRIVE NEWS AND VIDEOS - A group of 11 keen 4x4 enthusiasts started their day on Sunday, 12 March, having a cup of coffee, letting air out of their tyres and having a laugh before tackling the challenges of the Bow and Arrow 4x4 trail.
The vehicles started with the Toyota FJ Cruiser taking the lead and the rest falling in line as the first descent took them down into the valley and the first river crossing.
The terrain is a mix of rock, farm roads, heavy climbs and awesome descents, water crossings and even some sections, where you feel you are in a forest.
The FJs and Jeeps showed what they are made of, with some of the obstacles built especially for them. When the Ford went over an obstacle, they just made a new one with the assistance of the guide. This kept the day interesting.
As we headed to the highest and longest climb, the Jeeps and the FJ decided the dam looked like a good place to play. Once they were done, Ryno Vermaas put his Nissan Navara through it as well.

Unfortunately the occupants forgot to roll up the windows and his co-drivers had a bit of an unintentional shower.
Monique van Zyl, in her Jimny, didn't hold back and did the climb with grace. It was only at the end of the drive that the Jimny needed some assistance with the last obstacle. Luckily Chris van Zyl, her dad, was there to assist.
New friendships were made and all in all, it was a great day out in nature. If you would like a drive out in nature, WhatsApp Arthur (064 524 8307).
