GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Tops at Spar / Personal Trust Gem of the Karoo Classic Bowls Tournament held at Graaff-Reinet Bowls Club from 21 to 23 October was won by a strong combined team from Graaff-Reinet and Middelburg.
Francois Oosthuizen, Club President of Graaff-Reinet Bowling Club, said there were 160 players from 40 teams in action over the three days. Oosthuizen thanked the caterers and supporters of the tournament.
The welcome downpour did not affect the atmosphere and team spirit of the game.
The runners-up were four members from Port Elizabeth, Andrew Long, Andrew Sterley, Terry Cawood and Carl Vermeulen.
The Tops at Spar Bowls Tournament attracted 160 players.
