GEORGE GOLF NEWS - Johndré Ludick, a 12-year-old member of the Graaff-Reinet Golf Club, put on a winning performance on 7 December, outplaying senior golfers to win the Pick n Pay and Derick Light Attorneys sponsored medal format game.
Ludick won on a 70 point count-out to Derek Light, with Rhyno Gerber (72 points) third, Johan Olivier (73 points) fourth, Rowan George (73 points) fifth and Dawie Jansen (73 points) sixth.
The two clubs prizes for hitting a two-shot count on a hole, went to Jaco Venter, Willie Claassen and Patrik Ludick.
Jaco Venter (20 points) won the Friday club sponsored sundowner competition. Dave Luscombe (19 points) was second, with Bernie Wyer (17 points) third.
The mid-week Wednesday Gold Rush sponsored individual Stableford golf day was won by Eddie Nel (38 points), with Betts Henning (35 points) second, and André Olivier (30 points) third. Hein Cloete and Derek Light received the two clubs prizes.
On 14 December, the Pick n Pay Charity Golf day will tee off at noon.
