GRAAFF-REINET GOLF NEWS - A full field of golfers enjoyed a fun-filled day on the greens at the Graaff-Reinet Golf Club in support of Union Pre-School last Saturday.
The main purpose of the golf day was to raise funds for the school.
The format of the golf day was a 4-Ball American Scramble with sponsors Derek Light Attorneys, Bluesky Express, Electro-Cool, Botha’s Garage, Pick n Pay, Montego Pet Nutrition, Kelston Hyundai Graaff-Reinet, Smhart Security and Tyremart, who all chipped in to make a huge success of the day.
When all the swinging and putting was done and dusted, Justin Kingwill, chairman of the Union Pre-School Governing Body, welcomed guests at the prize-giving ceremony and thanked the sponsors and players for contributing to its success.
Noel Taylor-Freeme, Colin Warner, Dawie van Rooyen and Diwan van Rooyen were crowned overall winners and the runners-up were Sharon Shell, PJ Krige, Yvonne Drummond and Kenny Eaton. Mark Shires, Christopher Lee, Neil Dodds and Kyle Brown took third place.
Sharon Shell and Luther Rogers took the honours for playing the longest drives.
