GRAAFF-REINET GOLF NEWS - Avid and amateur golfers enjoyed a fun day of golfing at the Graaff-Reinet Golf Club on Saturday, 26 January, to raise funds for the Oppie Bol Foundation.
Both able-bodied golfers and golfers with disabilities, as well as sponsors and stakeholders participated.
Organiser Hento Davids was very pleased by the support and participation of players on the day.
The day’s top scoring players all scored 35 points, with Wally Gentry winning on a count out to Flippie Meyer and Lieb Liebenberg.
Noël Taylor-Freeme came in fourth and Chris Koeberg fifth.
Nearest the pin on 4 & 13 was Vlam Pretorius while Archie Wellman was nearest at 6 & 15.
- The Gold Rush competition played on Wednesday, 23 January, was well supported. Jacques Wagener won on 37 points, followed by Dave Luscombe in second place on a count out to André Olivier.
- This coming Saturday, the club will be hosting their Monthly Medal competition - tee-off will commence at 12:30. Players must please note that it is a handicap draw.
- The Proudfoot entries are coming in steadily - players are reminded to enter as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
