GRAAFF-REINET GOLF NEWS - The monthly medal golf competition was hosted at Graaff-Reinet Golf Club on Saturday 19 November.
The A division was won by Dennis Hendriks, the B division by Grant Marais and the C division by Piet Meyer. Yvonne Drummond took top honours in the ladies' division.
The lowest round of 72 was played by young golfing star, Johndré Ludick.
Community members are reminded of the annual Midlands Tournament that lies ahead. The annual tournament will be played on the Graaff-Reinet Golf Course on 4 December as an individual medal competition over 36 holes and many local players as well as from outside Graaff-Reinet are expected to enter. The tournament will be played in three handicap divisions which will depend on the number of entries received prior to the draw on Saturday.
All golfers who thrive on medal golf are encouraged to enter as it is always a pleasure to play in the Midlands Tournament. The Graaff-Reinet Club Championships will be held on Saturday 3 December, also in five divisions, which includes a senior and ladies' section.
The second round will be played as part of the Midlands.
This weekend will host the Nommerpas Betterball Competition on Saturday, and the club hope to see an increased field coming out to play. The course is in wonderful condition after the recent rain.
