GRAAFF-REINET GOLF NEWS - While many golfers brought their "A" game this week, Juan-Louis du Plessis won the Saturday IPS competition with 38 point. Weppie Weideman followed closely on Du Plessis' heels with 36 points.
Scorching weather conditions resulted in fewer players during the competition. There were players, however, who braved the heat and walk away winners.
According to Yvonne Drummond of the club, Weideman had a good week and walked away with the Golden Rush prize on Wednesday, again scoring 36 points.
Noel Taylor-Freeme took third place on a count-out to Colin Warner, with them both leaving with 33 points. Taylor-Freeme was the only player to play a two-club.
Niek Steyn took second place with 34 points and was closely followed by Wally Gentry who took third place with 33 points.
Drummond says there will be a Bonus Bogey with tee-off from 1pm on Saturday, 25 January.
With schools re-opened, everyone is invited to spend time with friends while having fun on the golf course. Contact Mark Hudson on 082 492 2806 for more details.
