GRAAFF-REINET GOLF NEWS - The extremely windy conditions made the going tough for golfers on Saturday afternoon, 20 October, in the Bonus Bogey competition at the Graaff-Reinet Golf Club.
Even though the scores remained quite low, a few players managed to master the wind.
Flippie Meyer Jnr won the day's play on 0 on a count-out to Wally Gentry.
Jean-Louis du Plessis came in third on -2. In the Wednesday IPS competition, sponsored by Gold Rush, on 17 October, Charl du Plessis beat the field with 37 points on a count-out to Jaco Venter.
n This coming Saturday, 27 October, Narsingstraat Primary School is hosting a golf day at the local club with great prizes to be won.
The entry fee in this IPS competition of R180 per player is in aid of the school's coffers.
Next year they will be celebrating their 30th birthday and will be using the funds raised for several projects such as the upgrading of the hostel and the purchasing of sporting gear.
