GRAAFF-REINET GOLF NEWS - Saturday saw strong rivalry between players during the Monthly Medal Competition at the Graaff-Reinet Golf Club.
Rowan George won the competition on a count-out to Sharon Shell, both on 71 nett. Dan Yeadon was third on 73 nett. Two clubs were achieved by Noel Taylor-Freeme, Anthony Visagie and Cheryl Waddelow. The club thanked Pick n Pay for sponsoring the competition.
The Gold Rush sponsored IPS competition, played on Wednesday, was won by Andre du Plessis with a good score of 38 points, Wally Gentry was second with 36 points and Jaques Wagener third, with 34 points.
A Better Ball Competition will take place this Saturday, 8 February. Golfers are encouraged to invite a non-regular or non-golfer to team up with. Anyone without a handicap will have the luxury of playing scramble golf up to the green.
Braai packs and salads will be available.
