GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — On a cloudy and chilly Saturday afternoon, May 27, the Graaff-Reinet Golf Club hosted a Betterball competition that saw several local golfers battle it out on the local greens.
Weppie Weideman and teammate Niek Steyn came first with a score of 50 points, followed by Wally Elliot-Gentry and Frikkie Coetzee in second place with 44 points (count out).
In a Kirber Cup match played this past week, Charl du Plessis and Colin Warner competed against Weppie Weideman and Niek Steyn, with Weideman and Steyn coming out tops.
The weekly Wednesday IPS competition played on May 24, André Olivier beat the rest of the field with a score of 39 points.
• This Saturday, June 3, golfers are invited to participate in the monthly Medal competition. Tee-off will commence at 12 noon.
• On Saturday, June 10, Kroonvale Primary will host their annual golfing competition. Golfers are invited to enter at the Club.
