GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Business League will take place this month starting on Friday, February 3.
The format is a 4-ball alliance. Businesses are encouraged to enter a team at R800 for this most enjoyable and social event.
There are fantastic prizes to be won at the prize-giving which will be held on the final Friday on February 24. Please contact the Golf Club on 040 555 0036 to enter.
On Wednesday the IPS competition sponsored by Spur was won by Wally Gentry with 39 points.
In the Better-ball competition on Saturday J Brink and F Coetzee, with 46 points, narrowly beat F Meyer and R Loots on 45 points. Third place went to D Luscombe and C le Grange on 41 points.
This Saturday is the Medal competition sponsored by Derek Light and Eddie Nel.
The tee-off time is 12.30pm. The entry fee of R150 includes a steak braai and as a special, the golfer’s spouse can join them at R50.
There will be a jumping castle to keep the children entertained. The Lady golfers will also be playing this Saturday so there should be a wonderful vibe at the Club.
The field for the Proudfoot tournament to be held on March 16 to 18 is filling up rapidly so those who have not yet entered should do so to prevent disappointment.
