GRAAFF-REINET — The Graaff-Reinet Golf Club hosted an enjoyable IPS competition this past Saturday afternoon.
The competition - which was sponsored by Nommerpas - was won by avid golfer Colin Warner with 38 points.
He was followed by Johnny Ludick in second place with 36 points. Local Jacques Wagener scored a magnificent hole-in-one on hole number 4 during the day's play. Saturday also saw several Cup matches being played.
In a Kirber Cup match, the duo of Colin Warner and Charl du Plessis beat Norman Kroon and Derek Light, while Jaco Venter beat Hadley Fourie in a Brisco Cup match and Johndre Ludick beat Niek Steyn in another Brisco Cup match.
The weekly Wednesday IPS competition - sponsored by the Desert Springs Spur - was won by Johan Brink with 39 points.
• The Friday Business League will tee-off on 2pm this Friday afternoon while Saturday, February 25, will see golfers teeing off in a Bonus Bogey competition at 12.30pm.
