KAROO FOOTBALL NEWS - The 2023/2024 Sarah Baartman District Regional Football League commenced on 17 September. 

Of the nine teams participating in Stream D, seven are based in Graaff-Reient: Future Stars FC, Morocco Eagles, FC Galaxy, Portugal Birds FC, Camdeboo Football Academy Development, Birds United FC, and Black Arrows FC. 

The other two teams, JV Manchester United FC and JV Shooting Stars FC, are from Jansenville. 

The Graaff Reinet games were postponed due to rain on Saturday and only the games in Jansenville were played on Sunday. JV Manchester United won 3 - 0 against JV Shooting Stars.

ABC Motsepe Foundation Championship

Graaff-Reinet's new provincial ABC Motsepe League team, the Camdeboo Football Academ, played in the Motsepe Foundation Championship in Queenstown against Amavarara of Queenstown on Saturday 7 October, winning 1-0. 

Their coach, Xolile Galada, said the team played very well and it was a great experience and motivation for them to win against the champions of the Eastern Cape Motsepe Foundation.
