FOOTBALL NEWS - A supercharged final between Birds United FC of Kroonvale and Morocco Eagles from Asherville had spectators of the 8 Nations Tournament on their feet at the Kroonvale soccer field last weekend.
Birds United was beaten 3 - 2 by the organisers, Morocco Eagles, with the first goal of the game scored by Ronaldo Dyakamela of Morocco Eagles.

Morocco Eagles chairperson, Will Blaauw expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the success of the tournament. "We all came together to showcase our love for the game and it was magnificent to experience such enthusiasm.

Your teamwork and sportsmanship was inspiring and it was a joy to watch you in action. Thank you also to the officials, referees and the fans," said Blaauw.
Teams that took part are Montego Academy, Birds United, Jose Mourinho, Morocco Eagles, Young Lions, Galaxy and Eleven Attackers.

- On Sunday the juniors played a curtain raiser and Birds United beat Black Aces 2 - 1.
