SOCCER NEWS - New Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter says his main ambition to unify the South African football fraternity behind a strategy and vision as he was unveiled at a press conference in Johannesburg on Monday.
“I believe that if we can get everyone united this country could be the power house of African football,” said the Englishman, who begins his second stint with the team away against Nigeria next month at the start of the 2019 African Nations Cup qualifiers.
“Its’ a feeling of deja vu. Nothing prepared me for what I faced as South Africa coach the first time round but I do remember there was a lot of negativity and I wasn’t successful in changing perceptions.
“When I came back to South Africa after that it was also negative but I got some respect with the results I achieved.
