CRICKET NEWS - In an exciting weekend of cricket, the u.9A cricketers of Union Preparatory School in Graaff-Reinet faced off against their counterparts from Queen's College Boys' Primary School.
On Friday, the teams battled it out in a thrilling T20 encounter. Queen's won the toss and elected to bat, putting up a competitive score of 87 runs for seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
In response, Union fought valiantly but, unfortunately, were bowled out for 51 runs in just 16,1 overs. Queen's emerged victorious, winning the match by 36 runs.
The action continued on Saturday with a 30-over match. Union won the toss and decided to bat first, managing to reach a total of 87 runs before losing all their wickets in 21,3 overs.
Queen's, in their chase, showed great resilience and determination, reaching the target of 87 runs with the loss of six wickets in 21,1 overs. Queen's emerged winners once again, triumphing by four wickets.
