U.15s
In another declaration match for the U.15s, Muir won the toss and elected to bowl. Brett Amsterdam top-scored with 74 runs not out, Jarrod Naude a well-played 18 and James Pringle 11 runs. While Union struggled against Muir’s fast bowlers, Union scored 141 runs all out in the 41st over.
Union bowled very well and took regular wickets, with Bowen Langmead taking 4 for 24 runs in 10 overs and Brett Amsterdam 5 wickets for 27 in 15 overs. Union’s fielding was very tight, which kicked off with an excellent run-out by James Pringle in the first over. This set the tone for the rest of the afternoon. Bowen Langmead also took a brilliant catch at mid-on, eliminating Muir’s star player. Khanya Butshingi took another important catch at mid-off.
Brett Amsterdam was undoubtedly Union’s Man of the Match, but what a great team effort by Union's U.15 boys! Union won the match by 60 runs.
