GRAAFF-REINET NEWS— This past Saturday, December 4, seven of the Graaff-Reinet Running Club's members pushed themselves to the limit at the during the annual Aspen Pharmacare PE City Marathon.
This 42.2km race is run through scenic, residential smallholdings in Port Elizabeth.
Sipho November was the first Graaff-Reinetter - and the 34th athlete overall - to cross the finish line in a time of 2.59.46.
He was followed by Jan Fick who crossed the finish line a mere second after November (2.59.47) with Eric Foendien finishing 39th overall in a time of 3.00.22.
Chade Bowles also completed the race in a time of 4.32.46, Elise Steynberg finished in a time of 4.37.25, followed by Stefan Steynberg (4.45.00) and Malinda Piek (4.54.07).
