GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Despite rising temperatures, Saturday’s Mountain Drive parkrun saw 99 participants, with six first timers and 12 records shattered.
Flippie Loock, with a time of 21:16, crossed the finish line first. He was followed by two unregistered runners in second and third place. Their times were not available.
Elise Steynberg managed a personal record of 29:46, which put her in first place of the women. Second was Lucinda Prins with a time of 32:27, followed by Caryn Cherrington (33:51).
This parkrun in Graaff-Reinet will celebrate its first birthday on Saturday 1 February. Everyone is invited to the run, which starts at 8am. Take a cupcake along to trade with a fellow participant.
