71 turn up for Saturday's parkrun

GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Nearly double the number of athletes turned up for Saturday's Mountain Drive parkrun. Of the 71 people who ran, jogged or walked the course, three were first-timers and 12 recorded new personal best times.

Representatives from two different clubs took part.

The event was made possible by seven volunteers: Van Rooyen Marchant, Kim Spencer Primic, Zimkitha Smith, Bronwyn Ferreira, Danie Jackson, Tammy du Plessis and Anneke Wieneke.

Photo gallery: Park run well supported this last Saturday

Mountain Drive parkrun started on 2 February 2019. Since then 1 285 participants have completed 5 802 parkruns covering a total distance of 29 010 km, including 1 000 new personal bests. A total of 66 individuals have volunteered 539 times.
