NATIONAL NEWS - Riana Pretorius, the 26-year-old biokineticist who was kidnapped by three men outside her practice in Gqeberha last week Thursday, has been released.
Hawks Eastern Cape spokesperson Captain Yolisa Mgolodela confirmed that Pretorius was found unharmed in the early hours of this morning, Friday 24 March, but could not provide more details.
Pretorius has been reunited with her family. The kidnappers demanded ransom of R2-million, but it is not known if the ransom was paid.
A man who was arrested earlier in connection with the abduction, is set to appear in the Gqeberha Magistrate's Court soon.
