NATIONAL NEWS - There are two protests underway in Ekurhuleni on Monday morning, one in the Makause informal settlement and the other at the Tsakane informal settlement.
Protesters have barricaded roads in the area.
It’s still unclear what the demonstration is about.
Ekurhuleni Metro Police’s spokesperson Kobedi Mokheseng says: “Working together with members of South African Police Service and other law enforcement agencies, we’re on site monitoring the situation, motorists are advised to use alternative routes.”
