NATIONAL NEWS - As the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) counts the last 5% of the votes it has confirmed that about 20 objections have been received so far.
Objections are complaints received from parties about issues which they believe may materially affect the outcome of the polls.
The African National Congress (ANC) had lodged an objection in Nelson Mandela Bay but this has since been withdrawn.
The IEC’s Stuart Murphy says with almost all the counting concluded, fewer than two dozen objections have been lodged.
"The last I heard we were under 20 objections. They are being processed."
