GEORGE NEWS - Conville Police arrested a 21-year-old female student in Le Vallia last night following the murder of a fellow student (23) at a student residence in Mountview Crescent.
Both women attended Nelson Mandela University (NMU) George Campus.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies, their information at this stage indicates that there was an altercation between the two women.
When police arrived at about 19:00, they found the victim with several stab wounds. She was declared dead by paramedics at the scene.
The motive for the killing is under investigation.
