GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Union Preparatory School is proud to present their fifth Annual "Wild Karoo Fundraising Event".
This initiative includes an online auction which takes place from 7 to 14 September as well as a spectacular gala cocktail function on the evening of 14 September.
The online auction is available at www.wildkaroo.co.za and lots can be viewed from 3 September.
The developers have ensured that the online bidding site is easy to use and the entire process from registration through to auction closing takes place online.
Registration can take place any time from now until auction closing - you CAN'T bid unless you've registered.
The online auction will close at 21:00 on the night of 14 September.
This year the auction includes over 80 unique and exclusive auction lots and there is most certainly something for everyone.
The auction includes (but is not limited to):
Accommodation packages which vary from luxury retreats to self-catered getaways; top-class trophy safari packages; biltong hunting packages; original artworks; adventure experiences, dining experiences, collectors wine and a variety of awesome products and services.
You may want to treat your better half to a couple of luxurious Karoo nights at the Drostdy Hotel, Leopards Valley Lodge, Clifton Manor or Camdeboo Private Game Reserve?
Perhaps you would prefer a lovely seaside escape to Inverlow Beach Cottage in Haga-Haga or a stay on the Royal Port Alfred Marina? The seasoned hunter may enjoy a Grand Slam Springbuck hunt or dads perhaps quality time with your child on a father/child hunt?
For those that have an adventurous spirit why not bid on the Adrenalin Addo swing and zip line experience or a canoe safari down the Addo Sundays River? Ladies, how about a Loveleigh Spa Day for two or dinner for two at the never-disappointing Muller House? Blankets, photoshoots, exquisite paintings, magnum wines from Middlevlei… the offering seems endless and you will be hard-pressed to decide!
By making use of Stockfair's online auction technology, Union Preparatory School can extend the auction nationally, and even internationally, which not only helps extend our reach in terms of fundraising, but also contributes toward the promotion of tourism in our district.

The formal gala cocktail function will be held in a marquee tent on the bottom field behind the Union Preparatory School on Friday, 14 September. This glitzy event will also host a LIVE auction, entertainment and a well curated art exhibition. Hang on to your tickets as there will also be a variety of fabulous lucky draw prizes. The live auction on the night of the event will run completely separately from the online auction.
"The Wild Karoo" is a unique fundraising event for the Union Preparatory School and the school would like to extend special thanks to all the contributors and sponsors for their support and generosity – without which this event would not be a success.
