GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Last Saturday, the vibrant atmosphere of interschool athletics filled the sports grounds of Hoër Volkskool in Graaff-Reinet, as secondary schools from the area converged for a day of track and field events.
With about 10 schools in attendance, the competition was fierce and the spirits high.
Among the participants were six local secondary schools from the DBNLM: Spandau, Asherville, Aberdeen, Jansenville, Volkskool, Union High, and Nqweba. Joining them were Somerset East, Cookhouse and Pearston, showcasing the wide-reaching enthusiasm for athletics in the region.
Following intense competition, a selection of standout athletes has been chosen to represent their respective schools at the upcoming regional meeting in Gqeberha on 21 February.
