NIEU-BETHESDA NEWS - Many fabulous knitters and crocheters have been busy-busy to ensure that 103 learners each receive a brand-new beanie.
All the Grade Rs, Grade 1s and Grade 2s of Nieu-Bethesda Primary received a beanie when schools reopened for the third term. It was perfect timing, as on 8 June the mountains were white with snow accompanied by extreme cold.
Since then the knitters have completed another 82 colourful beanies, and these were donated to the crèche in Nieu-Bethesda this week.
Without these donations, the kiddies wouldn’t have beanies, and the avid knitters wouldn’t have the much needed extra income.
Both sides win, and the learners are happy!
