GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Methodist Church Youth Guild recently observed Mother's Day in a heart-warming celebration alongside the mothers of the congregation at the Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Memorial Church. The Wesley Guild expressed their gratitude to the esteemed 'Mother of the Church' for her unwavering support, presenting her with tokens of appreciation and words of encouragement.
During the event, the youth took charge of preparing a special lunch for all attendees to demonstrate their appreciation. Additionally, the children's ministry, the Sunday school, distributed chocolates adorned with heartfelt messages to honour the occasion.
In a touching message delivered by the Sunday school, the children extended their heartfelt appreciation to all the mothers, grandmothers and aunts within the congregation.
They expressed gratitude for the patience and love these maternal figures provide consistently, despite the challenges they may face. The message highlighted the invaluable lessons learned from the wisdom and guidance of mothers and grandmothers, emphasising the importance of their nurturing presence in the lives of the youth.
The children acknowledged the sacrifices made by mothers, from early mornings to late nights, to ensure the well-being of their families, including the often-unseen efforts to maintain the household. The Sunday school extended warm wishes to all mothers and caretakers, expressing love and appreciation for their tireless dedication.
