Update
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - After the fires that ravaged parts of Aalwyndal, Island View and Vakansieplaas in Mossel Bay yesterday and overnight subsided this morning, flare-ups are occuring in Aalwyndal while a new fire broke out next to the R327.
Mossel Bay Municipality announced that active firefighting continues and that aerial resources have been activated. Road closures and access control has also been implemented in the area.
The public are urged to be extremely cautious and to avoid the Aalwyndal area.
Fire crews are also responding to yet another vegetation fire that broke out on the R327, towards Herbertsdale.
