GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Assault with grievous bodily harm
• A man was stabbed with a knife in an office at a business in the industrial area. The suspect is known to the complainant. The incident happened on 6 July at 13:00.
• On 15 July at 16:00 a man was at a club when he was assaulted by an unknown person who stabbed his head with a sharp object. No arrests were made.
Burglary
• Between 15 and 16 July a man left his laptop in his room in Self Bou Street. Upon returning he found that the window to his room had been forced open and that the laptop was gone.
• On 20 July in Mandela Park, a man went to sleep at 05:30. When he woke up the next morning he found his two plate stove and a sound system were stolen.
• A 33-year-old man reported that on 7 July at 11:20, he left from his business in Hillside. When he returned on 19 July at 17:00, he found entry was gained through the bathroom window and the internal doors. A basin and electric light switches were stolen.
• On the 20 July at 11:30, a woman left her residence at Donkin Street. On 21 July at 07:00, she returned and found that someone had gained entry into her residence and stole a cellphone and laptop.
• A complainant reports that on 20 July at 10:30 she left from the educational centre. On 21 July at 13:30, she went back and found that the place had been burgled and laptop, hard drive, two camera lenses, a computer mouse, one keyboard, and one camera bag had been stolen.
The suspect gained entry through an office window.
Malicious damage to property
Between 15 and 16 July, a car was parked in Church Street. When the owner returned, the car had scratch marks all over.
Stock theft
A complainant reported that on 16 July at 8am he left his goats to graze near the Panorama Building near Middelburg Road. When the complainant went back at 17:00, he found that one had been stolen.
Common robbery
A 40-year-old female reported that on 17 July at 11:30, she was walking home from the SASSA office, when she was confronted by two men in Merino Street. The suspects forcefully took her bank bag with R1 300 inside.

Theft general
Between 16 and 18 July, a member of the community found that 10 meters of electric cables were stolen from her residence.
