HOFMEYR NEWS - Twelve-year-old Lexie Fourie from Beaconsfield in Hofmeyr competed in the Sanesa National Championships on 9 and 10 August with her Nooitgedacht pony, Waaksaam Memoir. Lexie, a learner at Cradock Primary, represented the Eastern Cape at the nationals at the Parys Afridome in the Free State.
Lexie came second in Hand Utility and is the Level 5 national champion. She's also the National Champion Show Hack for Level 5 and won the trophy as best rider and horse combination.
Lexie also received placements in the performance and equitation classes.
She is trained by her mother, Karenza and was also accompanied by Ezelle Marais, Sanesa Eastern Cape team leader.
