ABERDEEN NEWS - Talitha Seddon (38) from Gqeberha, daughter of Aberdeen resident, Dora Kritzinger, embodies human perseverance - from summiting Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania on 23 February and running the Kilimanjaro Marathon on 26 February to finishing the Comrades Marathon on Sunday 11 June - just a week after competing in the Isuzu Ironman 70.3 competition in Durban the previous Sunday, 4 June.
This year was Seddon's third Comrades, and the trailblazer seems to be like a good red wine – from 10:05:07 in 2018 in her first race down to 08:51:04 this year.
She participated as a member of the Crusaders Club in the senior female category and finished 264th in the female group and 128th in the senior category.
She finished the Comrades in 3 052th position - out of more than 17 000 runners.
Seddon lives up to the slogan of this year's Comrades: "This is it - Ziyasha! This is happening."
