SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - The police are requesting the public to wait a week or two before they block their phones in case of theft.
According to George police communications officer, Capt. Nolonwabu Tshengu, it makes it difficult to track a stolen phone when it is blocked.
“With the technology at our exposal these days, some phones can even take a photo of someone trying to open it when the phone is off. This could really be of great assistance during the investigation,” she says.
