Burglary (business)
• A business in Kroonvale's window was forced open, between 11 and 13 January. Two printers and a laptop were stolen.
• On the evening of 20 January, suspects broke a small window at Karoo Catch Farm to gain entry. They stole electric tools.
• When a businessman entered his shop in the industrial area on 21 January, he found burglars gained entrance through a small hole in the wall and stole tools and machinery.
Burglary (residential)
• On the evening of 20 January, burglars gain entrance to a house by forcing open a wooden door. They stole a hairdryer, microwave and cellphone.
• The evening of 18 January, a Kroonvale resident left his home locked. Upon returning, he found food, a cellphone and shoes were stolen.
• A Umasizakhe resident reports that on 19 January, personal items, clothing and groceries were stolen from his residence. The front door was broken open to gain entrance.
Malicious damage to property
• On 17 January a newly built wall at a church in Kroonvale was broken and the bricks were stolen.
• On 16 January a truck was thrown with stones on the N9, as it was on its way to Uitenhage.
Theft out of a motor vehicle
• The complainant reports that on the 1 January at 3.45pm, she was in Kroonvale unloading her groceries with a golf bag with golf clubs still on the backseat of the car. After carrying the groceries into her home, she returned to her vehicle to find the clubs had been stolen.
• A truckdriver on 21 January between midnight and 3.05am parked his delivery vehicle on Church Street, opposite a service station to rest. He was awakened by a petrol attendant who informed him that cooldrinks had been stolen from his truck after the cover had been cut.
Possession of drugs
On 18 January at 7.40pm, police members were conducting stop and search operations in Kroonvale. They found mandrax on one of the people they searched.
Common robbery
A 23-year-old woman was walking in Church Street on 18 January at 2.50pm, when she was approached by two men who grabbed her cellphone and ran away.
Aberdeen
Assault with grievous bodily harm
A complainant a man started hitting him and kicked him to the ground in his Lotusville home at midnight on 4 January.
Theft
A female complainant alleged that on 18 January, she found R5 000 missing from under her bed.
Burglary (residence)
Between 17 and 18 January, a residence on Mentjies Street was broken into. A television was stolen after a window was removed from its frame.
