NIEU-BETHESDA NEWS - Bredton Williams, accused of attacking a Nieu-Bethesda policeman in February, will make his second court appearance in the Graaff-Reinet Magistrate's Court on Thursday 5 March.
Williams faces a charge of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, after he stabbed a policeman with a knife. The constable's name is being withheld for safety reasons.
The constable and his colleagues were investigating a spate of housebreaking and theft cases, when the information lead them to Williams' home on 26 February at 11am.
Williams allegedly became aggressive and stabbed the constable in his upper arm.
Williams has been in custody since his arrest.
