GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Revered Graaff-Reinet resident, Arthur Knott-Craig, who was born in 1931, celebrated his 94th birthday last Friday, 3 January.
Knott-Craig's journalism career started when he joined his father's publication, The Advertiser, in 1951 and was the editor of the paper for 25 years.
Knott-Craig's local educational journey began in 1943 when his family moved from Worcester to Graaff-Reinet when he was 12 years old.
As Graaff-Reinet and journalism moved into the future, Knott-Craig's journey served as testament to the spirit of commitment and dedication that has shaped this town for generations.
Graaff-Reinet Advertiser was then officially known as The Advertiser - a paper that was started by his father, RC Knott-Craig, a journalist and community leader.
