Another drug arrest in Cookhouse

A 39-year old suspect was arrested on the scene at approximately 13:00 after 20 tik straws and an undisclosed amount of cash was confiscated from the premises.

COOKHOUSE NEWS - Tik with an estimated street value of R1 080 was confiscated from a house in Bongweni Location in Cookhouse on Saturday 17 April.

According to local police spokesperson, Capt Bradley Rawlinson, a 39-year old suspect was arrested on the scene at approximately 13:00 after 20 tik straws and an undisclosed amount of cash was confiscated from the premises.

The suspect has since been detained in the Somerset East police station on a charge of dealing in drugs and will appear in the Somerset East Regional Court soon.
