GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Elizabeth Jordaan Home for the aged, and the Erica Centre for the elderly, had a wonderful surprise on 19 December when the Amy Angels, a dedicated group of high school learners and university students, brought festive cheer to the residents with a special pancake day event.
Under guidance, the Angels baked fresh and delicious pancakes, filling the air with the delightful aroma of homemade treats.
"This heartwarming activity was not just about the pancakes; it was about spreading love and joy during this festive season.
The smiles and laughter shared among the residents were a testament to the positive impact of the event," says Irvin Tam, Director of the Amy Bell Charities in Cradock.
"The residents thoroughly enjoyed the freshly made pancakes.
It was a day filled with warmth, community spirit, and festive joy - embodying the true essence of the holiday season," adds Marietjie Opperman, a resident from the Erica Centre.
