GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Unite against violence mass march: 12 September
Community members are invited to take action against violence against women and children, as well as to protest xenophobia, at a mass march in Graaff-Reinet on Thursday 12 September at 12.30pm.
The march will start at the old Kroonvale swimming pool, moving on to the office of the mayor. A prayer service will be held at the Alex Lang Hall at 2pm.

Vuyani Safe Haven AGM: 12 September
Vuyani Safe Haven invites the community to attend their Annual General Meeting at the Vuyani Learning Centre at the Botanical Sport field at 3pm. The usual items on the AGM agenda will be discussed, and work of two remedial teachers with Vuyani's children who have learning disabilities will be showcased.
The speaker will be Christine Scott. She is a qualified Integrated Learning Therapy Practitioner and will explain how children with neurodevelopmental problems can be helped by using slow, specific movements to create neural networks in the brain.
Clean Aberdeen: 14 September
All helpers will be most welcome. Black bags will be provided - a sturdy pair of gardening gloves is recommended. The group will meet at 9am in front of Foodzone.
Exhibition of art and photographs: 20 September
Art lovers are invited to see the works of photographer Lawrance Brennon and artist Sharon Strydom at the Imibala Gallery in Graaff-Reinet at 6pm for 6.30pm.
