GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Imibala Gallery in Graaff-Reinet will host an exciting introductory portrait course, tutored by visual artist Jonathan Silverman, the weekend of 1 and 2 February.
Silverman was trained in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Italy, and at the Royal Drawing School in London.
According to gallery manager, Kim von Behr Imrie, the course is for developing a deeper understanding of the portrait painting process. Both beginners and more advanced artists are invited.
The course will be from 9am until 6pm, with a lunch break. The cost is R2 000 per person, and materials are included.
