GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Around 26 members of the Graaff-Reinet Covid-19 prayer group gathered outside Midland Hospital in town on Sunday 6 December at 15:00, to pray for the health of the town.
The group, mainly women from a variety of congregations in Graaff-Reinet, were all dressed in white for the event.
"We trust in God that He will protect and heal those with Covid-19," said one of the women present. "We also thank Him for those He has already healed."
A second member of the prayer group shared her testimony of being diagnosed with Covid-19, and her recovery to health and read from Joel 2:18: "Do not be afraid, land of Judah; be glad and rejoice. Surely the Lord has done great things!".
After a second testimony, the members placed rocks pointing at the hospital.
"All of us have a testimony [of what God has done]. We use it now to lay the foundation for His work at the hospital and in Graaff-Reinet," one of the members explained.
Once the rocks were stacked, a bunch of balloons was placed on top.
"We are worried about our town, but know that we can trust in God," one of the women concluded.
