MIDDELBURG NEWS – The committee of the Middelburg Museum would like to clean the inside of the museum and is requesting the public’s help.
“The Middelburg Museum is an eye-sore to the public. It's dirty and the artefacts need to be re-arranged,” said Middelburg resident and councillor Handri Vorster earlier this week on social media.
She implored anyone with a love of heritage and history to assist them in getting the museum spick-and-span.
The ‘Museum Clean-up Campaign’ will be held on Thursday, January 25 at 17:00.
Anyone interested in assisting the museum’s committee with this endeavour is requested to bring the following:
- Dusting rag or/and any other cleaning materials needed to clean the artefacts.
- Ideas to make the Museum more attractive to the public.
“The Museum is part of our Heritage and we need to look after it before we lose it,” said Vorster.
Anyone is welcome to assist and any assistance will be appreciated.
