SPORT NEWS - Union High School is hosting their annual Anne Beagley Junior Rugby and Hockey Festival this coming weekend at their campus in Graaff-Reinet. This annual event, which showcases some of the best rugby and hockey schools in the province, has – over the past 22 years - become a permanent part of the school's calendar, drawing hundreds of visitors to the town.
With a unique family-friendly atmosphere, the festival is regarded as an annual pilgrimage for many primary schools and friends of the Union Schools.
Rugby and hockey teams from as far as Makhanda, Komani, Gqeberha and even Namibia, are set to compete, promising an eventful and keenly anticipated tournament.
Beginning this Friday, 23 June, nearly 800 u. 13 rugby and hockey players will sway onto the field to showcase their skills over three days.
To everyone in the Graaff-Reinet public, Union High School welcomes you to attend and support the teams in their respective matches. Let's cheer on these rising stars together in this exciting tournament.
