On Saturday Union took on Woodridge again in a 50-over match. Woodridge won the toss and sent Union in to bat.
After a nervous start, where two wickets were lost, Matt Harpur and Cowan Swartz knuckled down and put together a well-played 50-run partnership laying what was looking to be the perfect platform.
However, both batsmen were out in short succession and it left Luke McNaughton and Caerwyn Spence to try and rebuild the innings. Thy managed a 40-run partnership. Unfortunately, neither was able to take advantage of their starts and fell to good consistent bowling from Woodridge. Union were bowled out for 159 in 48 overs.
