PATERSON NEWS - A 52-year-old woman and 24-year-old man were arrested for possession of a large amount of Mandrax and tik on Friday 10 September.
Paterson Vispol support members, the Crime Prevention Unit and detectives were on a joint operation when they received information that drugs had been delivered to a house in Paterson.
They conducted a foot patrol to the given address and found a male and female inside the house. A search of the house revealed six packets of tik, one packet containing tik, 195 Mandrax tablets and a bompie containing dagga. The estimated street value of the drugs is R10 900.
The suspects were arrested immediately and are due to appear in the Paterson Magistrate’s Court soon.
Paterson Station Commander, Captain B Prince, thanked the members for the positive attitude they had shown and for the successful arrest and recovery of the drugs.
