GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — A wonderful afternoon’s entertainment is on offer for young children at the Fun Fair, which will be held at the Botanics Sportsground on Friday, 16 March.
Organiser Alicia Cawood, who owns Let’s Play Nursery School, has planned an afternoon full of fun and games for children aged between two and eight years old.
There will be games and activities such as a mini bicycle course (for which children will need to bring their own bicycles), a tug of war, the ever-popular jumping castle, twister, and a bean bag toss.
The food available has been chosen will children’s preferences in mind, and will include burgers, hotdogs, deli sandwiches and assorted sweet treats.
All children must be accompanied by an adult, but the good news is that although the children pay R20 to get in, there is no charge for the accompanying adults!
This is the first time that Cawood has organised such an event, but she hopes to make it an annual fundraiser for the nursery school. The stalls will be run by enthusiastic parents, and all profits will go towards equipment and toys for the school.
